Auraline Intelligence Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) values your privacy and is committed to safeguarding Personal Data relating to you (“User”, “you”, or “your”). We operate India’s first AI-native matchmaking app (hereinafter referred to as “Wavelength”), which leverages large language models (“LLMs”) and relies on its proprietary AI Agent Wave to replicate the nuances of a human matchmaker and provides a modern dating experience (“Services”).
“Personal Data” refers to any information which can be used to identify you, such as name, address, phone number, or billing information.
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data when you access Wavelength use the Service and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
We use your Personal data to provide and improve Wavelength and our Services. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy as well as our Terms and Conditions available within the Wavelength application as well as at https://www.heywavelength.com/terms.
We encourage you to also review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we collect, use, and protect your Personal Data, and to be aware of any updates or changes we may make.
What data do we process and why?
For providing you access to Wavelength and its Services, we are required to process data transmitted by you or through your use of the Services, including your Personal Data. Particularly, we collect:

Personal and physical attributes, and dating preferences, such as, sexuality, age, gender, five (5) photos (minimum), self-taken image for verification, voice for interaction call interaction (through bot), age range preference, type of relationship, past relationship status (e.g., whether in love before), height, religious beliefs, openness to inter-faith matchmaking, vices (if any), non-preferred vices in partner, career details (workplace, education), dating boundaries.
To create and manage your account, and create your dating profile and enabling access to different functionalities of Wavelength and/or the Services available as a registered User.

Directly from you: This includes any Personal Data that you upload on Wavelength or share with our AI Agent Wave, or through official communication channels, etc.
Automatically: When you use Wavelength and access our Services, we use automated means to automatically collect certain technical and behavioural data about you, including your Personal Data, that helps us in improving your experience.

With other users
Personal Data is shared with other Users only upon your clear, specific, and unambiguous consent (for example, when matches are suggested). Until then, Personal Data remains confidential and anonymized. If you interact with other Users or register through a third-party, your details of your contacts available with such third-parties may see your name, profile, pictures, and description of your activity. Similarly, other Users will be able to view descriptions of your activity, communicate with you, and view your profile when you choose to engage or connect with them.

We may share or transfer your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another entity. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Retention of your Personal Data
The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data and Usage Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your Personal Data to comply with applicable laws).
If you choose to delete your account, request for deletion of your Personal Data, or otherwise withdraw your consent for processing of your Personal Data, you understand that we may still be required to retain some elements of your Personal Data or Usage Data to comply with our obligations under applicable laws, including but not limited to Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. However, before we permanently delete all of your Personal Data, we will send you a notice at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance. You can use that window to access your account, or contact us to exercise your rights under this Privacy Policy and/or applicable laws, failing which your Personal Data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
Aggregated data: We may use aggregated and de-identified Personal Data for research, analytics, and to enhance or develop new features. Such data does not identify individual Users and is utilized solely to improve overall performance of Wavelength and its Services, as well as User experience.
Transfer of your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to, and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data, including Personal Data.
Your rights
Subject to applicable legal and contractual obligations required to deliver our Services, you may choose not to consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time in the future by, or if you otherwise have any concerns or complaints regarding our privacy practices or the handling of your Personal Data, please reach out to our Grievance Officer. Please note that if you choose to not consent or, withdraw your consent, we may be unable to continue providing access to certain features of Wavelength and/or the Services.
You have the right to review, access, update, amend, or delete your Personal Data by visiting the account settings section that allows you to manage your Personal Data or request our assistance in doing so by writing to our Grievance Officer, if you have an account on Wavelength. Please note, however, that we may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Right to grievance redressal: You may raise a grievance if you object to any processing of your Personal Data or when you believe there has been a breach of your rights under this Privacy Policy by contacting our Grievance Officer. We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing your request, and not to respond to complaints that we believe are manifestly false, unfounded, or frivolous. Additionally, these rights may be limited in certain cases where we are legally required to process or retain your Personal Data. If your grievance remains unresolved, please be informed that you have the right to escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Right to nominate: You can designate another individual to exercise your rights under this Privacy Policy on your behalf, in the event of your death or incapacity.
Third-Party Sharing and User Choices
Users are notified through this Privacy Policy and/or in-app notifications before any third-party processes Personal Data. Users can also disable optional analytics or marketing communications by emailing our Grievance Officer.
Security of your Personal Data
The security of your Personal Data unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction is important to us. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security since no method of transmission over the Internet, or electronic storage is 100% secure. Our employees, agents, contractors, and third parties, who have access to your Personal Data for the performance of business functions, are required to process your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you have any concerns, require assistance, or suspect that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact our Grievance Officer.

Wavelength is not supposed to be accessed by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. Alternatively, if we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
If we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires consent from a parent, we may require your parent's consent before we collect and use such Personal Data.
Links to other websites
Wavelength may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to such third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of any third-party you visit through Wavelength. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on Wavelength, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
